Redesign implications

1. 1The public XML sitemap contains 152 URLs, while the opened mega menu presents 23 navigational items across four columns. There is much more published content than there is visible navigation logic.
2. 2The stay journey is fragmented across hotel, accommodation, rorbu, practical stay information and individual house/cabin pages. This should be consolidated into one calmer accommodation flow.
3. 3Explore combines bookable activities, restaurants, wellness, gallery, stories, map and seasonal content. The redesign should separate core decision paths from inspirational editorial content.
4. 4Legal/consent variants, MEWS booking endpoints, test pages and archive/category pages should be excluded from the user-facing information architecture.
5. 5The sitemap contains suspicious gambling/SEO-related posts. These should be removed or technically audited before the redesign begins.
6. 6The mobile experience should reduce interface pressure: fewer first-level choices, stronger image-led storytelling and more emotional place cues before transactional booking moments.
