TERMS & CONDITIONS
Individual Guests – Nusfjord Village & Resort
1. GENERAL
These Terms & Conditions form the basis of your agreement with Nusfjord Drift AS (“Nusfjord”, “we”, “us”).
By completing a booking, you confirm that:
You are authorised to make the reservation for yourself and your party
You accept these Terms & Conditions in full
All bookings, amendments, and cancellations must be submitted in writing and are only valid once confirmed by Nusfjord.
2. BOOKING & CONFIRMATION
A reservation is considered confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and/or successful pre-authorisation of a valid credit card provided as guarantee, subject to acceptance by Nusfjord and the issuance of written confirmation.
Bookings require the guest to be 18 years or older.
Failure to present valid ID at check-in may result in cancellation at full charge.
For unaccompanied minors, written parental or guardian consent is required.
3. RATES & PRICE GUARANTEE
Confirmed rates are guaranteed and will not be subject to surcharge, except in cases of:
- Government action
- Tax adjustments
- Administrative or pricing errors
4. PAYMENT TERMS
Full prepayment may be required at the time of booking. Alternatively, a valid credit card must be provided as a guarantee, and the hotel reserves the right to secure a pre-authorization on such card prior to arrival.

We operate primarily as a cash-free property and accept:
- Mastercard
- Visa
- American Express
Cash is accepted in NOK only. Cheques are not accepted.
5. ROOM HOLD POLICY
Reservations may be held without payment for up to 48 hours.
After this period, Nusfjord reserves the right to release the booking without notice.
6. CANCELLATION POLICY (ACCOMMODATION)
Cancellation terms depend on the selected rate:
- Flexible Rate: Free cancellation up to 60 days prior to arrival
- Super Flexible Rate: Free cancellation up to 14 days prior to arrival
- Non-Refundable Rate: No refund applies
After the applicable cancellation deadline, 100% of the booking value is charged.
7. DATE MODIFICATION
Date changes are permitted:
- Free of charge prior to the applicable cancellation deadline
- Subject to availability
- Any rate difference must be paid
Changes after the cancellation deadline will be treated as a cancellation.
8. NO-SHOW
Failure to arrive will result in a charge of 100% of the total booking value, including all services.
9. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in: from 15:00
Check-out: by 11:00
Late check-out:
- NOK 400 per hour (max 2 hours).
- Beyond 2 hours: full room rate applies
All early check-in /late check-out requests are subject to availability.
10. CHILDREN & OCCUPANCY
Children aged 6+ are charged as adults
One infant (0–2 years) may stay free in a crib (subject to availability)
Maximum occupancy must be respected
Facilities access:
- Spa and wellness areas: 16+ only
Parents/guardians are fully responsible for supervision and behaviour.
11. DURING YOUR STAY
11.1 Conduct & Property
Guests are expected to respect the peaceful and intimate nature of the property.
11.2 Damage & Smoking
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to rooms, cabins, or property.
11.3 Smoking Policy
All cabins, rooms, and indoor areas at Nusfjord Village & Resort are strictly non-smoking.
Smoking is not permitted in any interior space or in close proximity to buildings where smoke may enter.
In the event of a violation, a fee of NOK 5,000 will be charged to cover cleaning, damage, and operational impact. Nusfjord reserves the right to charge for any additional costs where applicable.
Guests are kindly requested to use designated outdoor areas where permitted.
12. PRICES & ADJUSTMENTS
Prices may be adjusted due to:
- Changes in taxes or regulations
- Supplier cost increases
- External economic factors
Confirmed bookings remain protected under agreed rate guarantees (see Section 3).
13. TRAVEL INSURANCE
Guests are strongly advised to obtain:
- Travel insurance
- Cancellation insurance
- Nusfjord is not responsible for costs arising from:
– Illness
– Delays
– External disruptions
14. ACTIVITIES (MARINE & LAND)
14.1 General Conditions
All bookings require 100% prepayment
Activities are subject to:
- Weather
- Safety conditions
- Operational constraints
Nusfjord reserves the right to:
- Modify, cancel, or reschedule activities
- Deny participation for safety reasons
14.2 Marine Activities – Mandatory Waiver
All marine activities require:
- A signed liability waiver
- Acceptance of participation at own risk
Failure to sign = denied participation with no refund.
14.3 Participation Requirements
Guests must:
- Be physically fit for the activity
- Disclose relevant medical conditions
Guests must:
- Be physically and mentally fit for the activity, taking into account Arctic terrain, weather conditions, and the nature of the experience
- Disclose any relevant medical conditions, physical limitations, injuries, or other factors that may impact safe participation at the time of booking
Nusfjord reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to deny or terminate participation where a guest is deemed:
- Unfit for the activity
- A safety risk to themselves or others
- Improperly equipped
- Under the influence of alcohol or substances
- Disruptive to the group experience
Such decisions are final, non-negotiable, and made in the interest of safety.
No refund, rescheduling, or compensation will be provided in such cases.
14.4 Clothing & Equipment
Appropriate clothing is mandatory.
Guests not adequately equipped may be refused participation without refund.
Appropriate clothing and footwear are mandatory for safe participation.
Guests are solely responsible for ensuring they are adequately equipped for cold, wet, and windy Arctic conditions. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Thermal base layer (moisture-wicking, not cotton)
- Insulating mid-layer (fleece or down)
- Windproof and waterproof outer layer
- Warm hat and gloves
- Wool or thermal socks
- Sturdy, waterproof hiking boots with ankle support
Nusfjord reserves the right to refuse participation at its sole discretion where a guest is deemed inadequately equipped for prevailing conditions.
Such decisions are final and binding and made in the interest of safety.
No refund, rescheduling, or compensation will be provided.
14.5 Cancellation Policy (Activities)
- Timeline Charge
- More than 15 days prior Fully refundable
- Less than 15 days 100% charged
- No-shows and late arrivals: 100% charged
Operator cancellations:
- Alternative offered where possible
- Credit note may be issued
- No cash refunds
14.6 Liability
Participation is at own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nusfjord is not liable for:
- Injury or loss
- Damage to personal property
- Indirect or consequential loss
Except in cases of gross negligence.
15. SPA TREATMENTS
15.1 Booking & Capacity
- 100% prepayment required
- Single treatment room — limited availability
15.2 Scheduling
- Arrival required 15 minutes prior
- Late arrival = reduced treatment time
- Full charge applies
Arrival is required 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment.
Guests are responsible for allowing sufficient time to prepare for treatment.
Late arrival will result in a reduced treatment time, and the full treatment price remains payable.
Due to operational limitations and scheduling constraints, appointments cannot be extended, delayed, or reallocated.
15.3 Cancellation Policy
- Less than 24 hours: 100% charged
- No-shows: 100% charged
- Rescheduling subject to availability
15.4 Health & Safety
Guests must disclose relevant medical conditions.
Treatments may be modified or declined at therapist discretion.
Guests must disclose all relevant medical conditions at the time of booking, including any conditions that may affect treatment suitability or safety.
Failure to provide complete and accurate information may result in increased risk during treatment, for which Nusfjord shall not be held liable.
Treatments may be modified, shortened, or declined at the sole discretion of the therapist if deemed unsuitable for the guest’s health, safety, or wellbeing.
Such decisions are final and made in accordance with professional judgment and duty of care.
15.5 Conduct
Nusfjord reserves the right to refuse treatment to:
- Guests under the influence
- Disruptive behaviour
Full charge applies.
15.6 Liability
Nusfjord is not liable for adverse outcomes where medical information was not disclosed.
16. FORCE MAJEURE & WEATHER CONDITIONS
16.1 The hotel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations where such failure or delay is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, fire, war, terrorism, governmental actions, travel restrictions, epidemics or pandemics, or labor disputes not involving the hotel.
In such circumstances, the hotel’s obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the event. The hotel shall use reasonable efforts to mitigate the effects and resume performance as soon as reasonably possible.
Where a reservation cannot be fulfilled due to a force majeure event, the hotel reserves the right to offer alternative dates or a credit for a future stay. Any refunds shall be made in accordance with applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.
16.2 Nusfjord Village & Resort operates within the Arctic Circle, where weather conditions are inherently variable, dynamic, and an integral part of the destination experience.
Accordingly, adverse weather conditions — including but not limited to wind, precipitation, temperature fluctuations, reduced visibility, or sea state — shall not constitute grounds for cancellation, modification, refund, or compensation, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nusfjord shall not be liable for any disruption, delay, or alteration to services resulting from weather conditions or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
17. DATA PROTECTION
All personal data is handled in accordance with:
- GDPR
- Norwegian data protection laws
18. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Norwegian law.
Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Group Bookings – Nusfjord Village & Resort
ACCOMODATION
1. GENERAL
1.1 By confirming a booking with Nusfjord Village & Resort (“Nusfjord”), the booking party (“Organiser”) agrees to the Terms & Conditions set out below.
All bookings, amendments, and cancellations must be submitted in writing and are only valid upon written confirmation by Nusfjord.
1.2 Group Booking
A “Group Booking” is defined as any reservation consisting of ten (10) or more guests, or four (4) or more rooms, whether booked under a single reservation or across multiple reservations that are reasonably considered to be part of the same group or travel party.
2. GROUP BOOKING REQUIREMENTS
The Organiser shall provide the following information no later than 14 days prior to arrival:
- Full participant and rooming list
- Detailed programme
- Contact details for group leader
- Any allergies, medical, mobility, or special requirements
Failure to provide required information may impact service delivery, for which Nusfjord shall not be held responsible.
All bookings, amendments, and cancellations must be submitted in writing and are only valid upon written confirmation by Nusfjord.
3. BOOKING, DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
3.1 Deposit
A 30% non-refundable deposit of the total booking value (including accommodation, activities, and treatments) is required to confirm the booking.
3.2 Final Payment
The remaining 70% balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Nusfjord reserves the right to cancel or release the booking without notice if payment deadlines are not met.
4. ROOM HOLD POLICY
Rooms may be held without deposit for a maximum of 21 days, after which Nusfjord reserves the right to release the booking without notice.
5. CANCELLATION POLICY
Rooms may be held without deposit for a maximum of 21 days, after which Nusfjord reserves the right to release the booking without notice.

Important:
Deposits for outsourced services and third-party activities are 100% non-refundable, regardless of cancellation timing.
6. CHANGES & MODIFICATIONS
6.1 Increase in Rooms / Participants
Subject to availability and must be confirmed by Nusfjord no later than 14 days prior to arrival.
6.2 Reduction in Rooms / Participants
Subject to the cancellation policy above.
6.3 Date Changes
- Permitted without charge if requested before free cancellation deadline and subject to availability
- Rate differences may apply
- Requests after the cancellation deadline will be treated as a cancellation
7. NO-SHOW
In the event of a no-show, 100% of all confirmed services (including accommodation, activities, and excursions) will be charged.
8. BUY-OUT POLICY
For bookings exceeding 80% of total hotel capacity, Nusfjord reserves the right to require a full property buy-out.
9. MEALS & CATERING
- Reductions or cancellations made less than 14 days prior will be charged in full
- All changes must be submitted in writing
10. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in: from 15:00
Check-out: by 11:00
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability.
Late check-out fees:
- NOK 400 per hour (maximum 2 hours)
- Beyond 2 hours: full room rate applies
11. DURING YOUR STAY
11.1 Damage & Smoking
The Organiser is liable for all damage caused by participants.
11.2 Smoking Policy
All cabins, rooms, and indoor areas at Nusfjord Village & Resort are strictly non-smoking.
Smoking is not permitted in any interior space or in close proximity to buildings where smoke may enter.
In the event of a violation, a fee of NOK 5,000 will be charged to cover cleaning, damage, and operational impact. Nusfjord reserves the right to charge for any additional costs where applicable.
Guests must use designated outdoor areas where permitted and dispose of smoking materials responsibly.
12. PRICES & PAYMENT RESPONSIBILITY
The Organiser is responsible for:
- All booked services
- Any additional charges incurred by participants
Accepted payment methods:
- Mastercard
- Visa
- American Express
- Cash accepted in NOK only.
Prices may be adjusted due to:
- Taxes and regulatory changes
- Supplier cost increases
- External economic factors
Approved credit terms: 14 days net
13. ACTIVITIES (MARINE & LAND)
13.1 General Conditions
All activities are subject to availability, safety considerations, weather conditions, and operational constraints.
Nusfjord reserves the right to modify, cancel, or reschedule activities and to deny participation where necessary for safety.
13.2 Participation & Physical Condition
Participants must:
- Be physically and mentally fit for the activity, taking into account Arctic terrain, weather conditions, and the nature of the experience
- Disclose any relevant medical conditions, physical limitations, injuries, or other factors that may impact safe participation
Nusfjord reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to deny or terminate participation where a participant is deemed:
- Unfit for the activity
- A safety risk to themselves or others
- Improperly equipped
- Under the influence of alcohol or substances
- Disruptive to the group experience
Such decisions are final, non-negotiable, and made in the interest of safety.
No refund, rescheduling, or compensation shall be provided in such cases.

All marine activities require a signed liability waiver and are undertaken at the participant’s own risk.
Failure to sign the required waiver will result in denied participation without refund.
13.5 Cancellation (Activities)
- More than 15 days prior: refundable
- Less than 15 days: 100% charged
No-shows and late arrivals: 100% charged
Operator cancellations may result in alternative arrangements or credit notes. No cash refunds will be issued.
13.6 Liability
Participation is at the participant’s own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nusfjord shall not be liable for injury, loss, or damage, except in cases of gross negligence.
14. SPA TREATMENTS
14.1 Booking & Capacity
All spa treatments require 100% prepayment and are subject to availability. Nusfjord operates a limited-capacity spa with one treatment room.
14.2 Scheduling
Arrival is required 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment.
Participants are responsible for allowing sufficient time to prepare for treatment.
Late arrival will result in a reduced treatment time, and the full treatment price remains payable.
Due to operational limitations and scheduling constraints, appointments cannot be extended, delayed, or reallocated.
14.3 Health & Safety
Participants must disclose all relevant medical conditions at the time of booking, including any conditions that may affect treatment suitability or safety.
Failure to provide complete and accurate information may result in increased risk during treatment, for which Nusfjord shall not be held liable.
Treatments may be modified, shortened, or declined at the sole discretion of the therapist if deemed unsuitable for the participant’s health, safety, or wellbeing.

14.4 Cancellation (Spa)
- Less than 24 hours: 100% charged
- No-shows: 100% charged
- Rescheduling subject to availability
14.5 Conduct
Nusfjord reserves the right to refuse treatment to participants who are under the influence or acting in a disruptive manner. Full charges will apply.
14.6 Liability
Nusfjord shall not be liable for adverse outcomes where relevant medical information has not been disclosed.

Nusfjord shall not be responsible for costs arising from lack of adequate insurance.
17. LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nusfjord shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Loss of profit or revenue
- Personal injury or property damage, except in cases of gross negligence
18. LEGAL
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Norwegian law.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts.
