On the pier you will find the old general store with a lot of history and charm. Stop by to see memories of the busy days as a store and post office, or for a light meal or snack in the Landhandleriet Café.
There is a lot of history to experience in Nusfjord and, among other things, at Landhandelen. In the past, Landhandelen was the office of the owner himself, Mr. Dahl. The old general store was established as early as 1907 and has retained its original interior, so that you are taken back in time when you enter. Here you will find memories and unique details from the busy days when it was a store and post office for the local residents. The cash register, signs and much more are still there today, making it the unique historical gem it is.
Today you can shop for local products, everything from sausages and stockfish to soaps and other locally produced goods. You will also find the peaceful and quiet Landhandleriet Café here. The cafe is located directly above the water’s edge and offers fantastic views of the mountains and the harbour. Enjoy a quiet time and something good to eat. Coffee, sandwiches and delicious fresh baked goods such as waffles, cinnamon buns and cakes are served here. They are also known for their traditional fish soup. A perfect stop before or after a walk in nature or other activities in the area.
Landhandelen is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The venue can also be reserved for private events and meals.
