There is a lot to do in the run-up to Christmas. Head up to Nusfjord for a stay with friends, family or colleagues. Christmas is a time of tradition. Then we decorate our charming fishing village to get into the Christmas spirit and offer traditional Christmas food, a Christmas market and a Christmas tree hunt. Christmas in Nusfjord should be experienced.

Traditional Christmas food at restaurant Karoline

At restaurant Karoline, you can bring your family, friends or colleagues for a traditional Christmas dinner. Enjoy an aperitif, a Christmas walk with taste experiences, and a 3-course Christmas dinner. We will be serving festive meals from mid-November through the end of December. Enjoy music in Michael Bublé style last weekend in November and first weekend in December.

Christmas market

For several years, we have traditionally organized an old-fashioned Christmas market in Nusfjord, where both young and old can experience the magical Christmas atmosphere. There will be mulled wine, something to warm up on outdoors, baked goods, and coffee at Landhandelen. In addition, there will be several market stalls from local exhibitors. The Christmas market will take place on the 8th of December.

Christmas tree hunt

Would you like to cut down your own Christmas tree? On Sunday 8th of December, the Christmas tree hunt is organized which is a fun activity for the whole family. On this day, we also get a visit from Santa Claus. Combine with a family Christmas table at restaurant Karoline, which can be booked from 1 p.m.

Accommodation and other activities

Check in to comfortable fisherman’s cabins with access to hot tub and sauna. Start the next day with a wonderful Christmas breakfast, and the option of staying an extra night. This is also a great time for winter fishing, summit hiking or experiencing the spectacular northern lights. Or how about enjoying the view of the sea and snow-capped mountains from a wood-fired hot tub?
