Why Nusfjord? Why Now?
“We believe photography should travel as far as curiosity can take it. Nusfjord deepens that belief – it brings art into a landscape shaped by human resilience and natural power. It transforms how we see”
Bárbara Garcia, CEO of Fotografiska
“For us, this exhibition is a tribute. A tribute to the fishermen who built this place, to the community that keeps it alive, and to the artists who help us understand its soul in new ways.”
Caroline Krefting, owner of Nusfjord Village & Resort
Nusfjord × Fotografiska — Opening Weekend
17–19 April 2026
A gathering where global artistic vision meets local soul. Over three days, Fotografiska’s international expertise intertwines with the deep-rooted craft, community traditions, and timeless beauty of Lofoten.
A Culinary Dialogue Between Past and Future
Fotografiska chefs Christophe Buchet and Gustaf Sandfridsson join Nusfjord’s culinary team to craft a menu that honors both:
The resourcefulness of the fisherman’s kitchen
The innovation of contemporary sustainable cuisine
Using local seafood, reindeer, lamb, seaweed, herbs, and zero-waste techniques, the menu becomes an edible story of place, sustainability, and shared craft.
