Christmas Market

Join us on Sunday, December 14th for a festive day in Nusfjord

Welcome to Nusfjord's Christmas Market

A Timeless Holiday Celebration — Sunday December 14th 2025

Step into the magic of Christmas in Nusfjord Village & Resort, Norway’s oldest and best-preserved fishing village. On Sunday, December 14, 2025, Nusfjord transforms into a festive wonderland filled with tradition, atmosphere, and natural beauty.

The heart of the season is our Christmas Market, open on Sunday from 11:00 – 16:00. Here you can cut your own Christmas tree in our forest (bring your own carving tool), browse handcrafted goods and local delicacies from market stalls, warm up with mulled wine, coffee, and traditional baked goods at Landhandelen, and meet Santa Claus, who has promised a special visit.

This is a festive weekend for both children and adults, where holiday spirit comes alive in the most magical surroundings.

A festive meal at Karoline Restaurant

Following strolling through the Christmas market, relax in Restaurant Karoline to enjoy a refined seasonal menu, inspired by the sea and the Arctic landscape. Expect elegant dishes crafted with the best local ingredients — a celebration of winter flavors.

Remember to book your reservation by sending an email to: post@nusfjord.no.

Our seasonal menu is available all winter, so if you cannot join us during the Christmas market weekend, you are warmly welcome to dine with us at another time

Why Visit Nusfjord During the Holiday Season?

Nusfjord offers a holiday experience unlike anywhere else. Nestled among dramatic fjords and mountains, the village becomes especially enchanting in winter. Lights twinkle on historic rorbuer (fishermen’s cabins), the crisp sea air is filled with the scent of pine, and the pace of life slows — inviting you to savor the season.

Here, Christmas is celebrated in harmony with nature and tradition, creating an atmosphere of quiet luxury and authentic charm.

Cozy Cabins & Arctic Adventures

Make your Christmas visit truly memorable by staying overnight in one of Nusfjord’s cozy historic cabins, where the crackle of the fireplace and the soft glow of holiday lights create the perfect retreat.

During the day, you can take part in outdoor adventures such as:

Winter RIB tours

Arctic fishing trips

Kayaking along snow-dusted fjords

Scenic hikes

Your stay in Nusfjord offers the ideal balance of comfort, tradition, and adventure.

Indulge in delicious meals at our three restaurants — Karoline, Oriana Kro and Landhandel. Experience welcoming atmospheres and locally inspired dishes.

Unwind in our waterfront Arctic Spa which includes two stamps (Scandinavian hot tubs) and a large sauna. Wanting mor book a private spa treatment for the ultimate relaxation.
